I. QJ product summary

QJ series submersible electric pump is an important device for deep water pumping. The entire unit of this product is submerged into the water, pumping the ground water to the surface, for urban and rural industrial and mining enterprises water use and drainage, irrigation for agriculture and under conditions of the sea, etc.

The submersible electric pump of this series is designed perfectly and structured reasonably. It possesses characteristics including low noise, long life, small size, light weight, easy installation and maintenance, high efficiency, energy saving and so on.

Ⅱ. Use Conditions

1. The three phase AC power supply with the deviation of the voltage 380V not more than ± 5%, and the deviation of the frequency 50Hz not more than ± 1%. 

2. The motor chamber must be filled with distilled water or clean water.

3. The first level impeller of the pump should be immersed in the water level for at least 3 meters; the electric pump unit immersed into the static water level shall not exceed 7meters; the bottom of the motor is not less than 5 meters from the bottom of the well.

4. The water temperature is not more than 20℃.

5. The content of solids in water is not more than 0.01% (according to the quality).

6. PH value of the water is 6.5-8.5.

7. The content of the hydrogen sulfide is not more than 1.5mg/l.  

8. The content of chloride ion in the water is not more than 400mg/l.

2. The main technical parameters (Table 1) of QJ series well use submersible pump.

(1) Motor is for three phase AC with frequency 50Hz and synchronous speed 3000r/min.

(2) Motor is with continuous working system.

(3) When the deviation of the power supply to the nominal value is not more than 5%, the deviation of the frequency to the nominal value not more than 1%, the motor can output the rated power. 

Note: Our factory can also design and produce the submersible pump with rated frequency 60Hz, and rated voltage 220V or 660V.

I. Selection of the submersible pump

1. Understanding of deep well:

To reasonably select and use a submersible pump, the following items should be understood:

(1)All the requirements of the use conditions should be understood.

(2)Inner diameter and depth of deep well should be understood.

(3)The static and dynamic water level of deep well should be understood. 

(4)The optimum water flow of deep well should be understood.

2. Calculation of the total lift of the submersible electric pump on selection: 

The impeller of the submersible pump is immersed in water, so we do not consider the suction; the total lift of the pump is: H=Hı+H+h. 

In the formula, the vertical distance (meter) between dynamic water level to the pump seat outlet pressure point

What the pump seat outlet pressure gauge reads by 102 (meter),( the pressure gauge unit is MPa); 

Kinetic energy head (m) at the outlet of the pump seat;

Pump loss inside the well.

Ⅴ. Structural description

The entire unit of the 
QJ series submersible electric pump is composed of the pump working part, the submersible motor, pipe section (including water pump, pump seat, etc.), cable, gate valve, control cabinet and other components. Pump is directly connected with motor through the coupling to work in the water.

1.The working part of the pump is the core of the unit. It is composed of the impeller, the middle shell, the upper shell, the pump shaft, the bearing, the water inlet section, the check valve and the valve body and so on (see the structure chart).

2. Submersible motor is the power source of the unit. It is composed of the stator, the rotor, the upper and lower guide bearing, thrust bearing, base, connecting frame, sealing device, etc. (see the structure chart).

Ⅵ. Notes on installation, use and maintenance

I) Installation

1. Inspection of deep well:

(1) Inspection of the wellhole:

Before installing the unit, check the inner diameter of the wellhole to see whether it is in accordance with the requirements of the external size of the part below the well.

(2) The washing of deep well: for newly built well, it should be first washed by the air compressor or the old deep well pump. When the pumped water is clean enough, then the submersible electric pump can be installed and used. 

(3) Inspection on the water quality and temperature of deep well: according to the use conditions, water quality, check the water quality and temperature to see whether they are within the prescribed scope.
