I. Summary:

1. Application

    QSZ axial flow type submersible pump and QSH mixed flow type submersible pump are mainly used for plain area, with lift 2.5-15m, flow 250-3500 m³/h, power 5.5 ~ 75kW, irrigation and drainage area of about 1000-5000 acres of small and medium-sized electric mechanical irrigation and drainage station. It is more applicable to emergency flood control and drainage.

2. Characteristics

    The characteristics of this machine are as follows: Pump and motor are united in one, and dive into water to work together, can be controlled at distance or automatically. Pumping house can do without (or pump station), and the ground building facilities are not needed either, which greatly saves investment. The machine also has advantages on simple structure, easy installation, convenient maintenance, safe and reliable operation, and high efficiency of pumping station, etc.

Ⅱ. Use conditions

1. Power supply: three phase alternating current power supply with frequency 50Hz and voltage 380V.

2. The water temperature is not more than 40℃.

3. The PH value of the water shall be within 5.5 to 5.8. 

4. The electric pump shall be fully immersed into the water with depth no less than 0.8m.

Ⅲ. Structural description

Submersible electric pump is mainly composed of two parts with motor and pump. It is of the vertical upper pump structure, as shown below:

Ⅱ)Installation preparations:

Check the pump appearance to see whether the cable is damaged, whether hand impeller can rotate, and see whether the nameplate and the actual use lift are the same.

Suitable tools like lifting equipment, the wrench, the file, the screwdriver, and the mega meter should be prepared. Screw off two bolts from the upper motor and fill inside the motor with clean water till the water spills from the inlet hole. Then screw tight the bolts. 

After use the electric pump to put the motor under water for the first time, measure the insulation resistance of the motor to the ground. If the resistance is not less than 50MΩ, then it is workable. 

Check whether the rated lift is suitable for the actual use lift. The rated lift of the pump equals to the device lift plus all the lost lift (0.1~0.2×device lift).

It is equipped with Y- starter or self - coupled pressure reducing compensator and over current protection device.

Ⅲ) Pump installation: 

Check whether the voltage and frequency of the power supply and line are in consistent with the numerical value on the nameplate of the pump. 

Car test and rotary direction check: test time shall be less than 3 seconds, and the rotation of the impeller is counterclockwise seen from the inlet.

Check whether the control switch is equipped completely and reliably.

Stretch the cable straight and have the cable tied around the pipe with wire to avoid damage to the cable when the impeller rotates. 

The weeds around the pump must be cleared. A rack should be placed in front of the pump to avoid the aspiration of foreign body which will damage the impeller. The pump shall not be stuck in the mud.

Ⅲ. Installation and application
  
1.Installation

(1)Installation method:

Vertical installation as shown in figure (a), the sledge installation as shown in Figure (b) , tilt (slide) installation as shown in figure (C).

If more than one pump is installed, the distance between the pumps should be more than 3 or 4 times the diameter of the pump outlet.

(1)The starting of the electric pump adopts the method of direct starting, Y- starting or the self coupling decompression compensator,etc.

(2)After the electric pump keeps running for 4 hours for the first time, stop the pump and rapidly measure the insulation resistance. If the resistance is greater than 0.5MΩ, then it can be put into operation.

(3)The electric pump can not be turned on or off too frequently. If the pump needs to restart after stopped, it has to wait 10 minutes to prevent the motor from being overheated.

(4)The electric pump must be operated specially by someone. One should check the power, voltage and current changes to avoid accidents.
